In May 2023, the Marlborough Community Coalition began transforming its historic Crime and Public Safety Committee into a data-driven violence prevention initiative that embraces the steps of the Omaha 360 Village Building Strategy. Extensive stakeholder input activities were pursued resulting in three priority violence prevention strategies that are being used as lenses for the Coalition’s work. Every other month, a community meeting specifically focused on information exchange and education related to violence prevention is held in addition to the Coalition’s monthly community meeting. The April 21st meeting is being followed by a Prayer Event led by the KC 360 Community Cares Chaplains. All are welcome to attend both events!
