Lyrik’s Community Partner Working Sessions

October 29 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm CDT

Community Partner Working Sessions

Lyrik’s IBUILD program works to reduce crime and violence by helping young people replace destructive thinking with productive behavior, build skills, and pursue opportunities. When our students are ready to move on to community partners for continued support, TALMID is the system that makes that handoff smooth, coordinated, and sustainable.

The working sessions are how TALMID is being built. Community partners and cross-sector leaders work together to turn identified barriers and possible solutions into an actionable strategy for coordination between sectors, with clear priorities, responsibilities, milestones, and funding needs. We have to get this right. For our students, any gap in services puts them at high risk of death or incarceration. Community partners’ voices are essential to making sure the strategy reflects the realities of the organizations doing the work and builds on their strengths.
