Experience Youth & Police Initiative

The Youth & Police Initiative (YPI) is dedicated to building trust, breaking down stereotypes, and creating meaningful connections between youth and law enforcement.

During the week of November 2, 2026, YPI returns to Kansas City for a five-day leadership and relationship-building experience that brings youth and law enforcement officers together to build understanding, share experiences, and strengthen community trust.

We invite you to experience YPI firsthand—meet the youth and officers participating, observe meaningful dialogue and shared experiences, and see the impact of bringing young people and law enforcement together.

The week culminates in a community graduation celebrating participants and those committed to building stronger relationships and a stronger Kansas City.
