The seminar aims to present and demystify the individuals and entities one might interact with following a homicide. Being informed is empowering; our sessions are designed to help you regain control.
The letters G.R.I.E.F. represent the different areas discussed during the meeting. Here is what each letter represents:
G -G is getting to know the services in the Metro KC area..
R – Reporters.
I – Investigation.
E – Enforcement.
F – Forward or Moving Forward.

Our Guests will be Alana Young-Henry and Shelley Norris
Alana is the Operations Manager at Young Family Farm KC and Executive Director at Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council. She will outline the services and programs available at the Ivanhoe Neighborhood Center and how you can participate.
Additionally, she will introduce the Young Family Farm, an urban farm dedicated to growing and selling fresh produce right in the heart of the city.
Shelley Norris will lead a discussion focused on moving forward with the help of Bereavement Blocks. Many participants have already experienced the profound impact of this exercise, and for those who haven’t, it’s a valuable opportunity to explore. Make time to attend and gain insights into coping with grief, and discover additional resources that can support your healing journey.
