The Marlborough Community Coalition organizes 2 hours of canvassing, three times a month in different parts of the Marlborough Community. The Marlborough Community Coalition serves nearly 10,000 people living between Gregory and 89th Terr and Troost to the Blue River (just east of 71 Hwy. The goals of canvassing are to 1) let people know about the Coalition and how they can be involved 2) Ask questions and listen to neighbors’ concerns, especially related to crime and violence 3) Share information about resources they might benefit from. If canvassers are not able to speak to someone at every home, a bag with Coalition and other resource information is left behind. The canvasses are led by neighbors, with occasional representatives from local churches, resource agencies, local government, and law enforcement joining in. Representatives from churches, resource agencies, law enforcement, local government, and other neighborhoods are invited to participate! Canvassing for 2024 will conclude at the end of October. The flyer shows the dates and times through early October. Please rsvp to info@wearemarlborough.org to learn the meet-up location for the canvass date you will participate.
