Ivanhoe Park Celebration

The Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council, in partnership with the Urban Neighborhood Initiative, invites the entire Kansas City community to come together for the annual Ivanhoe Park Celebration, happening this Saturday, July 19th from 11 AM to 2 PM at Ivanhoe Park, located at 43rd and Brooklyn.
This family-friendly event is dedicated to strengthening neighborhood connections and celebrating the growth, resilience, and shared spirit of the Ivanhoe community. Over the years, the Ivanhoe Park Celebration has become an important tradition, helping build trust among neighbors, connecting residents to vital resources, and creating joyful memories for families.
Attendees can enjoy a wide variety of free activities and entertainment, including:
- Free hot dogs and hamburgers for all guests, while supplies last
- Free horseback rides with The Copper Ranch Boyz
- Free face painting by Plz Paint Me
- Live musical performances by Osezua Reggae and the Comprehensive Art Institute
- Two bounce houses for children to enjoy
- Community resource booths from organizations such as Mothers in Charge, Front Porch Alliance, Kansas City Food Hub, The Drop, Kansas City Fire Department, Kansas City Police Department and more!
The Ivanhoe Park Celebration continues to have a lasting impact by fostering a sense of belonging, offering families a safe and welcoming space to gather, and connecting residents with local organizations that provide valuable support and services.
