Business 360’s Lunch & Learn Presents: Community Resource Team (CRT)
KC 360 invites Kansas City business owners and community stakeholders to join us over Zoom for our June Business 360 Lunch and Learn, a webinar designed to foster collaboration and provide valuable insight into local initiatives that support economic growth and neighborhood revitalization.
This session will highlight the work of the Community Resource Team (CRT), a cross-sector collaboration of 7 neighborhoods: Wendell Phillips, Oak Park, Ivanhoe, Santa Fe, Key Coalition, Boston Heights & Mt. Hope & Washington Wheatley. The collaboration includes community leaders, social service providers, and law enforcement professionals. Formed in 2015 through the Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation (BCJI) grant administered by the U.S. Department of Justice, the CRT was established to identify and address community safety concerns along the Prospect Corridor (25th to 39th Street) in Kansas City, Missouri.
CRT focuses its efforts in three key areas:
- Vacant Properties – Addressing issues of blight and neglect
- Beautification – Supporting redevelopment and community pride
- Jobs and Business – Promoting reinvestment and economic opportunity
During this Lunch and Learn, participants will:
- Gain a deeper understanding of the CRT’s mission and current initiatives
- Learn how CRT’s work aligns with neighborhood safety and business growth
- Discover resources and partnership opportunities available through local collaboration
