SUMMARY:Lyrik's Community Partner Working Sessions
DESCRIPTION:Community Partner Working Sessions \nLyrik’s IBUILD program works to reduce crime and violence by helping young people replace destructive thinking with productive behavior\, build skills\, and pursue opportunities. When our students are ready to move on to community partners for continued support\, TALMID is the system that makes that handoff smooth\, coordinated\, and sustainable. \nThe working sessions are how TALMID is being built. Community partners and cross-sector leaders work together to turn identified barriers and possible solutions into an actionable strategy for coordination between sectors\, with clear priorities\, responsibilities\, milestones\, and funding needs. We have to get this right. For our students\, any gap in services puts them at high risk of death or incarceration. Community partners’ voices are essential to making sure the strategy reflects the realities of the organizations doing the work and builds on their strengths. \nSessions (Keystone CoLAB\, 800 E. 18th Street\, Kansas City\, MO 64108\, 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM)\n– Thursday\, Sept 17: Housing and Stabilization; Legal\, Court\, and Reentry\n– Thursday\, Oct 1: Transportation; Medical and Behavioral Health\n– Thursday\, Oct 15: Education and Training; Workforce and Economic Mobility\n– Thursday\, Oct 29: Documentation and Reporting; Capacity and Insurance Readiness \nLunch is provided and no preparation is required. RSVP with any dietary restrictions to kylehollins@lyriksinstitute.com.
