DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, November 8\, 9 a.m. to noon\n\nMagis Activity Center\, 5311 Tracy\, KCMO\, on the campus of Rockhurst University (free parking in adjacent lot)\nMaximum of Forty participants\, $25/person fee.\n\nThe Center for Conflict Resolution developed the training for KC 360\, the violence prevention initiative led by KC Common Good. The training focuses on de-escalation techniques\, building trust\, avoiding conflict\, and understanding how to de-engage if conflict erupts.\n\nThe session will be led by:\n\nAnnette Lantz-Simmons\, Executive Director of the Center for Conflict Resolution.  She holds a Master’s degree in Conflict Transformation and is a certified Strategies in Trauma Awareness and Resilience program trainer.  (Annette will present to our Club on Friday\, November 3.)\nDebbie Bayless\, a mediator with CCR since 2004 and Mediation Coordinator since August 2009.  She has a Master’s degree in Restorative Justice.\nKaren Slaughter has been with CCR since 2017 and manages the Neighborhood Accountability Board program.  She also provides mediation services.\nLarry Wilkins is a gifted youth Conflict Resolution trainer and is CCR’s Public Outreach and Education Strategist.  He is active in KC 360.\n\nPlease sign up at the meeting or online to reserve your spot.  Questions?  Reach out to Nancy Shawver\, nancy@nancyshawver.com.
