SUMMARY:Conscious Leadership Accelerator Intro Workshop
DESCRIPTION:What It Is: A neuroscience-backed experience that reveals the gap between who you intend to be and who you actually are under pressure. It combines self-reflection\, shared language\, and immediately usable frameworks. \nWhy You Should Go. \n\nProtect Your Energy. When demands exceed your capacity\, your body defaults to a biological survival mode. You will learn to recognize this physical toll and hit “reset” to prevent burnout.\nElevate Your Presence. Your internal state is contagious. Staying grounded allows you to create a biologically safe space that fosters true connection and healing for you and those around you.\nMaintain Composure. Gain real-time tools to bring your rational\, empathetic brain back online during chaotic or high-pressure moments.\nSustain Your Wellbeing. In wellness\, your presence is your practice. Shift from merely surviving your day to generating sustainable\, life-giving energy for yourself and others.\n\nBottom Line: You already believe that an inside-out transformation is possible by training your mind. This applies the same logic: master your internal state so you can thrive in a high-demand profession\, rather than just managing external chaos. \nREGISTER for the Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/83d_h3xRQXixhmPPLjh6sg#/registration

SUMMARY:Freedom Hoops
DESCRIPTION:Freedom Hoops is a faith-based discipleship and mentorship ministry that uses basketball as the front door to lasting relationships. We believe every young man deserves consistent adults in his corner. Beyond the game\, our coaches invest in the whole person: character\, decision-making\, healthy relationships\, and next steps in school and work. We do this through small-group conversations rooted in the life and teachings of Jesus. \nFor many young men\, having a safe place to belong on a weeknight and a trusted adult to call when life gets hard is prevention in its most practical form. That is what we build every Thursday. \nEvery Court. Hope Found. Lives Changed. \nWhen: Thursdays\, 6:00–8:30 PM\, October 1\, 2026 through July 1\, 2027 (no gathering on Thanksgiving\, Christmas\, Christmas Eve\, Winter break\, or New Year’s Eve) \nWhere: Marlborough Community Center\, 8200 The Paseo Blvd\, Kansas City\, MO 64131 \nWho: Young men ages 12–18 (enrolled in school) \nCost: Free \nArrival: Doors close at 6:30 PM so we can keep the night safe and focused. SUMMARY:Building Community Justice: Housing Strategies for Diversion and Re-Entry
DESCRIPTION:Homelessness and the justice system have long been interconnected. People who are homeless are much more likely to be arrested\, and they face worse outcomes in the justice system. And\, once someone is arrested and swept into the system\, they become 10 times more likely to experience homelessness. Despite this cycle\, housing is rarely discussed in criminal courts and other touchpoints of the justice system. \nWhat if instead we built interventions into the justice system to connect people to stable housing and other resources? \nOn October 14\, join this webinar to learn about criminal courts\, reentry programs\, and jails partnering with housing organizations to address the needs of people coming through their doors. Leaders of programs in Kansas City\, MO; Pittsburgh\, PA; and Dayton\, OH;—all of whom participated in the Center’s Housing Justice Peer Network—will share details and lessons from their programs. We invite you to hear about successful examples of housing/justice system partnerships and what makes these cross-sector partnerships effective.

Space is first come\, first served. \nQuestions: Text Freedom Hoops Marlborough at (833) 927-5076 \n
